This part-time business developed from my long-term hobby in model railways and more recent interest in G Scale. I found that importing Bachmann locomotives and Rolling Stock direct from the USA generally worked out a lot cheaper than buying them in "rip-off" UK (even after paying the heavy shipment costs across the pond and Customs Import Charges).

Whilst this is certainly no fault of local model shops who have high overheads and are dependant on wholesale prices set by the distributor it does mean that many enthusiasts simply cannot afford to purchase items and miss out on a great hobby.

I decided to augment my activities for the benefit of fellow enthusiasts with the aim of selling Bachmann, LGB, USA Trains, Aristo-craft, Piko, etc. at approximately 20% less than the equivalent UK Recommended Retail Price. recently I have established a new website www.gscaleonline.co.uk devoted exclusively to G Scale products. The existing G Trains site will now focus on USA Outline models in HO & On30 Scale (mainly from Bachmann USA) at substantial discounts - sometimes as much as 70%.

Whilst my resources do not extend to stocking every item all the time I do try to maintain a steady flow of popular items together with special releases in the USA which are rarely released in this country.I can also obtain the vast majority of Bachmann US HO and On30 gauge products form the USA within 7 -10 business days although this is c. 21 - 28 days at the moment as my USA distributor has decided to take an extended break through August.
